Your Meal Plan
was going to share my recent thoughts about generational trauma and generational abundance, but I decided to keep it light because it’s Super Bowl Sunday. I’ll be lucky if you even open this email.
So instead of talking about how our actions and behaviors, for better or worse, impact our kids, their kids, and their kids, I’m sharing a selection of recipes for food we’ve made in the last few weeks! 😂😂😂
We’ve made this recipe with beef and extra-firm tofu and both were DELICIOUS.
Maybe you did your meal planning today. If so, save these for next week.
I usually do our meal planning on Sunday and shop on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday depending on what’s in our pantry. My biggest hack to keeping our weekly grocery shopping budget to $125-$150/week is making a plan for our meals and shopping one time for everything we’re going to eat for the week. The moment you visit the grocery store multiple times in a week, your grocery budget is shot.
If you’re a meat eater, this one-pan baked chicken recipe is for you!!! It’s an all around winner in our house. Our kids’ friends love it, too.
Chopped Salad (we made it with turkey bacon and without blue cheese because I didn't have any on hand)
A few other recipes we love (Chili, Chicken Soup, and Green Lentil Soup, which we serve with grilled cheese sandwiches)
I leaned into cooking seven years ago to be healthier, save money, and model for my children what it looks like to make food for yourself everyday. This latter behavior was not modeled for me as a child.
I was able to make meal plans and cook for my family because of my lifestyle shift from being an employee to my own boss. If you are looking to be in more command of your time, use it how you want, and invest in the coaching that's going to be required for you to break all the narratives that are telling you it's not possible, let's talk.
Have a great week!
Love,
Petrushka
